After a decidedly tense match, which had the entire nation teetering on the edge of its seat, England knocked Colombia out of the World Cup.

First of all, England has a terrible track record with penalties at the World Cup — they've never won any of their previous penalty shootouts in the competition. So, when it finally happened this time around, people were chuffed (to say the absolute least).

And, right on cue: the whole country erupted into a chorus of jubilation.

The words, "It's coming home, it's coming home, football's coming home," were shouted from the rooftops.
